Partnerships

Over the years, Shalom University Institute has developed strong partnerships with other universities, research institutes, businesses, and local governments. These partnerships cover various academic activities, industrial training, research, and professional services. Below is a summary of our common partnership arrangements and relevant contact details.

We have established partnerships with universities, international organizations, and enterprises across 54 countries worldwide. These partnerships involve activities such as monitoring and evaluation, student and staff exchange, study programs, research collaborations, shared facilities like libraries and laboratories, publications, internships, seminars, and conferences.

Specifically, we have partnerships with universities in countries including the USA, UK, Finland, Cameroon, Nigeria, Belgium, Germany, China, Ghana, South Africa, Thailand, and many more. Our aim is to continue building such partnerships with more educational institutions, industrial training centers, businesses, and research centers. This allows our students to benefit from a global educational experience

Dual Degree

This arrangement involves Shalom University collaborating with one or more partner institutions to offer a program that results in two or more interrelated degrees. All participating institutions must be authorized to award degrees. Both partners’ regulations apply, requiring students to fulfill the requirements of each partner’s awards. Typically, students will study at both institutions, with Shalom University Institute delivering a minimum of 50% of the double degree program. Each partner issues a certificate, and the UK certificate explicitly acknowledges the collaborative nature of the award, specifying the names of the partners involved.

Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Shalom University Institute expresses its intention to collaborate with numerous overseas and local universities, institutions, and esteemed organizations through Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). These MOUs are not legally binding and do not entail specific commitments, although they outline potential avenues for future development. Similarly, SHEI”s Memorandum of Understanding (or Cooperation) delineates opportunities for collaborative and mutually beneficial academic engagement between universities without establishing a formal legal relationship between the institutions involved.

Credit Transfer

An agreement wherein students who have fulfilled the requirements of a program or a portion thereof at a partnering institution gain eligibility for transition into a corresponding program at Shalom University. Typically, these articulation agreements incorporate credit transfers, enabling components of the partner program to contribute towards the attainment of a Shalom University award. Students who articulate into a program at SHEI are accorded the same classification as those who complete the entirety of their program directly at Shalom University.
